Community Based Organizations

Students at Seattle Vocational Institute (SVI) may qualify for a variety of programs and resources offered by community-based organizations. Please contact the organization directly to learn more about services and eligibility requirements.

Neighborhood House

Neighborhood House supports students in the Medical Assistant and Dental Assistant programs. Students can get assistance with support services, testing fees, resume & cover letter writing and interviewing skills. In addition, Neighborhood House can help students find employment after completion of their program.

King County Public Health – Access and Outreach

King County Public Health – Access and Outreach can provide application assistance for:

  • Health care/Medicaid enrollment or renewals
  • Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)/Winter heating assistance applications for Seattle residents
  • Basic Food applications
  • Seattle City Light Discount program
  • Metro Discount Fair Card
  • Other resources

A representative is on campus on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month in the first floor lobby, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m..
