Community Based Organizations (CBO) support is for all students. Students must qualify based on the eligibility rules for each organization.
Education and Career Navigator
Neighborhood House support students in the Medical Assistant and Dental Assistant programs Students can be assisted with support services, testing fees, resume, cover letters and interviewing skills. In addition, Neighborhood House provides support with helping students find employment at completion. A representative is at SVI all day on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Room 109.
The YWCA supports students in the Computer Support Tech and Medical Administrative Assistant program. This program also helps with support services, testing fees, and finding employment at completion. A representative generally stops in (SVI Room 109) one or two days per week as needed.
King County Public Health – Access and Outreach
King County Public Health – Access and Outreach can provide application assistance with the for following:
- Health care/ Medicaid enrollment or renewals
- LIHEAP / Winter heating assistance applications for Seattle residents
- Basic Food applications
- Seattle City Light Discount program
- Metro Discount Fair Card
- Other resources
A representative is at SVI on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month in Room 109, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
